Godfrey is the second-born in a family of 4 kids. However, he became the head of his household after both his parents died and his elder sister got married in 2019. Godfrey has two younger siblings, Jimmy and Rodrick. With no one to support them, Godfrey does piecework to provide for the family while going to school. He is a bright young man as he got excellent grades on his Grade 8 national exams and earned selection to one of the best high schools in Malawi, Masongola Secondary Schools, which is a boarding school.
