Emmanuel is the third born in a family of 4 being raised by his single mother. His father passed away in 2022 after a car accident. Raising 4 children has been difficult for his mother as she has struggled to provide basic needs due to economic hardships. His mother does piecework, like working on people’s farms, to provide for the family. She has not received any assistance from relatives since her husband’s death. Sometimes they sleep on an empty stomach when his mother fails to find piecework on that particular day.

Emmanuel dreams of becoming a Soldier and his favorite subject is Chichewa. He likes playing soccer and his favorite color is Green. He and his family are members of a Baptist Church. Emmanuel enjoys having rice or nsima with beans.
