Rashida is the only child in her family. She lives with her single mother, who works tirelessly doing low-paying jobs like washing clothes and supplying water to construction workers to support her. Rashida is healthy, but poverty poses significant challenges to her growth and development.

Being in the ECD program will provide Rashida with breakfast and lunch every day, as well as give her an educational foundation, preparing her for primary school in a few years. She also will be given an opportunity to hear about Jesus and know how much she is loved.

Rashida aspires to become a teacher. She likes playing with toys. Her favorite color is pink and she enjoys eating nsima with beans.
