Ida is the last born in a family of 2. Her father died after a short bout with High Blood Pressure. This forced her mother to take full responsibility for Ida and her sibling. Life has been so tough ever since, and she is in a dire situation as she cannot afford to buy food and clothes for her children. The mum depends on doing piecework to bring food to the table. Sometimes, they spend days without eating as there is no one to support them.

Ida wants to become a teacher when she grows up; at school, her favorite subjects are English, social studies, and Mathematics. At home, she likes to help her mother with house chores, and her favorite meal is rice with beans. In her free time, she likes to read. Ida is a well-behaved girl who mostly stays indoors and likes cleaning the surroundings at her home.
