Heskey lives with his grandmother who took over his care after his mother passed away. This was not easy for her as selling bananas was her only means of support. She often walked over 17 kilometers a day to sell her bananas, but it was not enough to support them. Eventually, she became ill and could not continue. They began relying on well-wishers and relatives for support, but they continually lacked food and other supplies. It was at this time that Passion Center took Heskey into the program. Heskey's grandmother thanks God for the help they have received from Passion, saying that Heskey is now looking healthy and strong and has clothes, food, and school materials.
