Chisomo (Gertrude) lives with her mom and sister. Her mother struggles to care for them, so her aunt helps with basic needs and tuition fees as much as possible but often struggles to provide for all of them as she cares for her own family. Chisomo's older sister made many sacrifices to allow her to continue her schooling and delayed much of her own education to help her.

Chisomo likes to read and study science. She loves the color blue and dreams of being a secondary school teacher.
