Chikumbutso was born with Cerebral Palsy. His mother had prolonged labor which deprived him of oxygen during birth. Due to this condition, they were transferred to the nursery ward for special care. At four months, Chikumbutso started showing signs of developmental delays; he could not sit, crawl, or walk. After undergoing physical therapy for a while, he started sitting, crawling, and walking but sometimes he still loses balance when walking and falls down.

Chikumbutso was enrolled in school at the age of 5 but he has learning difficulties. He enjoys learning English and likes eating Rice with Beef. He aspires to become a doctor one day. His favorite color is red and he enjoys playing soccer. Through our Champs Club, Chikumbutso will access physical therapy as well as get educational and spiritual support.
