During a recent visit to Malawi, we heard about THREE Urgent Health Needs that tugged at our hearts. We are highlighting the stories, trusting God that HE will provide and help these folks who mean so much to us. Would you join us in praying for them, and consider donating so we can help meet their urgent health needs?
Praise, a 2-year-old little boy in our Champions Club was born with a heart condition that requires surgery. We praise God that through an international agreement between Israel and Malawi, Praise can receive the surgery he needs this coming January! Israel will provide the surgery free of cost, while Malawi will cover the airfare and costs connected to recovery. But there are extra expenses, such as transportation to and from hospital and government appointments, passports, luggage, clothing, and other items connected to travel. Having never traveled far from their village, there is no one else able to help them take advantage of this life-saving opportunity. We are hoping to raise $1500 to help cover the costs associated with the upcoming travels and operation.
Misheck is an 11-year-old boy who came into our Champions program when he was just 4 years old! He is a beloved part of our family, and he has endured more surgeries than any little boy should have to go through. When we first met him, his mom carried him everywhere, and he spent his days lying on a mat. But through targeted exercises and surgeries, he is now walking with just a single crutch. He is currently recovering from a surgery, but the recovery is going slow. He is also more susceptible to illnesses after surgery. The doctors told us that he needs specific nutritional supplements to improve the healing process and strengthen his immune system. We’d like to provide that for at least a year. We can supplement Misheck’s diet with protein, supplements, and healthy foods for $65/month, or $780 for one year. We want to see him recover faster, become stronger, and prepare for his next surgery.
Steven is a valued friend and trusted Passion Center Intern in our education department. Recently, he has survived two diabetic comas. During his most recent collapse, his friends went looking for him after not seeing him at work and not hearing from him, and they found him unconscious. We thank God for rescuing him and getting him the medical help he needed. But he needs help over the next year to improve his overall health. We would like to provide him with a testing kit that he needs to check his blood sugar, as well as help augment his diet to better control his sugar. In a country like Malawi, that can be very expensive. If you’d like to join us in helping Steven during this critical time, please consider donating so we can provide $75/month for the next year. We are hoping to raise $900 to bless one of our own with much-needed help.
