Nelson is the first of three kids. He lost his father in September 2022.  Before the passing of his dad, his parents got divorced in 2015. He started living with his mum, but his dad continued to support the family, including paying for his education. When his father died, the family started struggling as his mother only relies on piecework. Currently, there is no one to pay his tuition, so he dropped out. He was supposed to write JCE (Form Two National exams) this year but was sent home due to his tuition balance. Now, he lives with his grandfather, who is too old to work, so Nelson does piecework to support the family. But when there’s no work, they can go the whole day on an empty stomach. He dreams of becoming a social worker to help underprivileged kids like him. Being an extrovert and friendly, Nelson likes interacting with older, mature people to gain wisdom. At home, he enjoys listening to gospel music, reading novels, and the Bible.
