Nelson is a 14-year-old boy that lives with his mother. When he was born, he was weak and floppy, a sign of cerebral palsy. Nelson doesn’t walk, speak, feed himself, or use the toilet on his own. His mother would like to see him be able to walk and talk and go to school. He has good muscle tone throughout his body except in the back of his thighs, the tight muscles are causing the knees to be bent and not able to straighten.
