Innocent lost both of his parents. He is the only child in his family. His mother died in October 2018 after a short illness, and his father died in March 2020. This forced his grandmother to take full responsibility for him. The grandmother is in a difficult situation since she doesn’t work, so it is more challenging to take care of Innocent. She doesn't have a stable source of income as she relies on working in people’s fields to earn a living. The situation is so bad that they spend 3 days without eating at times. She cannot afford to buy clothes for Innocent, who always wears torn clothes from well-wishers. Innocent is at high risk of malnutrition.

He is a well-behaved boy, and most of the time, he stays indoors with his grandmother; his favorite food is Nsima with eggs. He likes to play with his friends, molding toy cars using clay.
